Ant nests can be located in appliances, pot plants, walls and ceilings, making it sometimes difficult to locate them. Inspect infested areas of your home carefully to determine overall ant infestation levels and locations where they are foraging. 

Select the most appropriate application points to pace the bait station. often this will be alongside or across the ant trails. If the trail is strong with lots of ants on it, place the station alongside the trail as close as you can get to it, if the trail is weaker with fewer ants on it, placing across the trail is the best approach. 

The stations are designed to be used in two different ways. The first being, two stations can be joined together to provide a hood over the bottom station which can help restrict access to children and pets. If no children or pets will be in proximity of the bait, then you can use the stations individually without joining them together. 

Place the station carefully without destroying ants' natural trailing behaviour as much as possible. Ants mark their trails with pheromones, which are specific chemicals they produce that leave a scent for other ants to follow. 

Fill the stations approximately 1mm below the top edge. 

The best method for determining the amount of ant liquid you will need is to fill one bait station and wait until ants have discovered it. 
If the station is completely surrounded by ants feeding on it with more ants walking past to another food source place another station and repeat the procedure until all foraging ants are feeding on the bait. 
Reapply if all liquid bait is consumer and there are still ants frequenting around the bait.

For heavier infestations, the best results will occur when used in conjunction with Hawkeye Flea, Ant & Roach Spray for indoor trailing ants. 

Do NOT place Hawkeye Organic Ant Liquid anywhere it can come in contact with food. In commercial food processing areas, ensure ant liquid is placed in a way it cannot come in contact with food products or food handling.

Spinosad is a natural active ingredient derived from fermentation of bacteria. 

It was first discovered in the Caribbean during the 1980s form a soil sample at an old abandoned rum distillery. There were dead flies on the ground in an area and a sample of soil was then taken and tested, where a new species of bacteria was present that produced Spinosad.  
It has a 100% natural manufacturing process make up. 

Spinosad is now a recognised active ingredient both in New Zealand and around the world.
