We have found these very good sitting on top of the hives but for best results we have fund tilting it sideways to let a light liquid wet the inlet holes helps a lot.
if in a wind spot it is easy to drill a hole in a piece of 200x200x50 to give it a solid base.
I have been led to believe if you take the small loop off the end of the entrance to make it a little bigger that it is then suitable for use against Hornets.

These lure traps are incredible when used with the wasp lure - we were pretty much wasp free over summer due to the traps - in past years they were everywhere!

I was using homemade traps but these ones are so much better the wasps go right in but can’t get out and paired with the lure in one day my trap was full of wasps. Also if you aren’t sure on how to remove the wasps out i emailed on a friday night thinking i won’t get a response till monday it was saturday morning and they gave me a few ideas. Fill it up with water to drown the wasps that are still alive or cover the holes and shake it and the remaining alive wasps drop into the lure and die.

Put one of these round the back of the house and one round the front and hung on a drain pipe close to where Wasps were foraging and it worked so well, so many wasps dead or trapped I'll absolutely be continuing to use these products. 1000% recommend

These lure traps are effective. They quickly fill with wasps and require emptying and refilling with lure. I put them in the freezer overnight to kill all those that hadn't drowned. Recommended.
